
February 8, 2009 - Blandford - One man is dead after a fatal accident on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Blandford on Friday night. According to reports in the Boston Globe, the victim was driving a Pontiac Sunfire when it crossed the median and slammed head-on into an oncoming semi-truck.
The accident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on Friday. Police have yet to release the identity of the driver, who died at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck, 52-year-old John Chamberlain, was not seriously injured and did not require hospital treatment. Police in Blandford are still investigating the accident. No charges have been filed.
